Community guidelines
The Sound Origins forum is a gentle space for parents, families and professionals connected with neonatal care. These guidelines help keep it safe and kind for everyone.
Be supportive
Many members are going through, or have been through, a very hard time. Please be kind, patient and respectful, even when you disagree.
No medical advice
Share experiences and ideas about sound and song, but please don’t give or ask for medical advice. Questions about a baby’s care should always go to the neonatal team.
Respect privacy
Please don’t share details that could identify a baby, a family, a member of staff or a hospital — including names, dates of birth, photos or unit names. Never post anything you wouldn’t want to be seen by the person it is about.
Looking after the space
If something worries you, use the “Report” button on the post. Reported posts are hidden straight away while our team takes a look. We may remove posts or suspend accounts that don’t follow these guidelines.
